Project description

The Department of Speech, Music and Hearing at KTH School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science is seeking a PhD student for a new project titled "Anticipatory Control in Conversational Human-Robot Interaction". The project, funded by the Swedish AI-program WASP, focuses on developing generic language models for human-robot interaction using self-supervised learning. The aim is to predict and anticipate human behavior in real-time, improving overall interaction. Unlike traditional language models, this project aims to model multi-modal conversation, processing text, audio, and video. The research will involve collaboration with industries and other projects to explore the model's application in social robotic contexts. The position includes a small portion of departmental duties, such as teaching.
